Millesimo is a beautiful little Things_To_Do-Liguria medieval town, only 10 km away from the house.  Walking through the streets takes you back centuries and the old bridge is worth a detour.  There is a weekly market on Saturdays in Piazza Italia.

Genoa is the capital of Liguria. Genoa has been nicknamed la Superba (“the Proud one”) due to its glorious past and impressive landmarks. Part of the old town is inscribed on the World Heritage List (UNESCO). The city’s rich cultural history in notably its art, music and cuisine allowed it to become the 2004 European Capital of Culture. It is the birthplace of Christopher Columbus and Niccolo Paganini. Acqui Terme has been famous since roman times for its hot sulphur springs and is about 45 minutes away. In the little pavilion at the centre of the town, known as La Bollente, the waters bubble up at 75°C. Beach

Savona at only a 20 minutes drive away features a large seaport and several beaches and marinas. You can spend a day at one of the municipal or private beaches.  Further up and down the coast, you can find a lot more fine beaches.

Diving.

The sea beds around Savona attract many divers. lecavallettediving offers trips to the marine reserve where you can also find the remains of the wreck of an ancient Roman ship and her cargo of amphorae.  Call Paolo to book a trip.

Hiking

If you like hiking, the land around the house offers wonderful views and nice walks. You will find many fruit trees and very likely run into roe deer.

For the more adventurous hikers, the Ligurian alps are just 85km to the east.
